| Boots Would Be a Good Idea |
August and I enjoy going out to Siskiyou Householders Refuge to see how the project is going. Yesterday we saw a bioswale had been outlined in front of the soto. There were also huge earth moving machines on the property, so August had a chance to climb up and get a feel for what it must be like to drive one.
After spending time on the big equipment, we planted two small trees August had been given at school.

| Having soaked the roots, the tree is now ready to plant. |
It's fun to think about August and this tiny tree both growing up together. We will nurture the young tree for a year or two, and hopefully the tree will provide comfort for him in some way when they both have grown up a bit!
The tree and Auggie growing up side by side, to be strong and tall. Planted on land where you will soon live. Lovely and full of meaning. How fun to climb that machinery and feel what it's like to sit in the driver's seat. The soto looks great.
