Portland in December

Full Moon Risin'

I love Portland. It’s filled with opportunity and fun. Last weekend I helped out with Write Around Portland’shttp://www.writearound.org/index.html end of the term Authors’ Night. What a treat to hear these writers, many of whom have never written much of anything before, read their published pieces. The next night a friend and I attended the Aurora Choir’s Christmas performance; it was beautiful in all ways, and on Sunday my old friend Deb and I attended the Portland Gospel Choir/Oregon Symphony Orchestra’s holiday concert. That was definitely the highlight of the weekend! The first half was mostly new arrangements of old favorites, but the second half rocked the house! “Everyone put your hands together!” and we did and we could not stay in our seats! I highly recommend it for next year. Tucked around the edges were tasty meals, scavenger hunts and Christmas story telling with Jude and Auggie, walks downtown and in the neighborhoods, and lots more.  Once in a while I have to stop and take a picture….   so here are a few shots from around town.

"All anyone really needs is a good listening to!"
This bronze statue will listen patiently and compassionately all night long!
Portland Rubber Boots!
I hope Santa brings me a pair!

Merry Christmas to all!

And to all a good night!

  2. I think Portland "listens" to people…isn't it wonderful? It comes across in all your entries. And people participate. What fun you are having!
Christmas Eve is fun…and then Christmas. With love.

  3. We're moving on to Happy New Year wishes, so I'm tossing some your way. Did Santa bring the boots you wanted?
