Health Update May 25, 2011

Dear Friends,

       On my desk lies Doris Lessing’s The Real Thing, a book I borrowed from The Infusion Center’s library today; my mother read Doris Lessing when she was my age and I think it’s time I did too. Also on my desk is my journal that houses my daily morning pages and there is a hand-painted calling card of a slam poet I met at the Ashland Art Center on Sunday. Today's lab results are the newest additions to the pile, and I'm happy to report the numbers are good. An anthology of inspired student writing from Eagle Point S.D. middle schoolers awaits my trip to the printer tomorrow, and there are lots of paper scraps with my scribbles on them. My computer also sits on my desk with the internet open to  http://www.theartistsway.com/pdfs/basictools.pdf . I want to share another Julie Cameron idea.        I've been feeling much more energetic over the past two weeks, so I’ve been catching up on Artist’s Dates! Perhaps these pictures will inspire you to make an artist's date with yourself! ( I know, I cheated....I took my sister and my daughter along part of the time. I believe it's just fine to do it your own way, but I recommend you carve out some time for silence and meditation).
