It's still Poetry Month, so I find myself in Dr. Suess mode:
"I have heard there are troubles of more than one kind. Some come from ahead and some come from behind. But I've bought a big bat. I'm all ready you see. Now my troubles are going to have troubles with me!!
Dexamethasone Madness
I meant to taste a little bit
To ease the muchy flare
But with Dexamethasone infused
I ate without a care
I started with the ice cream
And moved to nuts and jam
And then I had a fried egg
And thought of Green Eggs and Ham
And thought about my children
Who giggled so with me
And thought about myself as well
When I was only three
And then I jumped ahead a few
As each of us have done
And suddenly we’re full adults
And headed on a run
Surprisingly the path is bent
We cannot see around it
And so we slow and slow again
And search until we find it
Illusive though my journey is
The IgM is dropping
Hemoglobin is up a bit
And viscosity is sopping
Now overall the labs look good
Slow and steady and well
My doctor says I’m doing great
And she’s the one to tell.
As for me, I'm on a roll
And may go gaze at the moon.
There's a change in the air
A change in the earth
That makes me want to swoon!
Be well, My Friends, and thank you for all your love and support.
