A Frosty Thanksgiving at Jim's

This year all Oregon Lizottes spent Thanksgiving at Jim's new house in Eugene. Gretchen drove up from Ashland, Peter, Hope and The Boys drove down from Portland, and I drove from Portland as well. The highlights were: the delicious Thanksgiving dinner made by all of us on Thursday, The  Oregon Duck game which Hope and Peter went to while the rest of us watched it on T.V. on Friday, the big bon fire that Jim and the boys lit in the early afternoon, so it was perfect for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows in the evening, and the grand finale was Auggie's Polar Bear Club. Although Gretchen and Jude planned to participate, the Willamette River was icy cold and the land was frozen so they copped out...but Auggie did it! Here are a few shots.

My tiny kitchen managed to do a pretty good job...

Pumpkin Pie from scratch and a delicious "Rustic Fall Dessert"
(pears, apples, cranberies, figs, and walnuts went into this crisp...yum!)
