DJ displays her new prompt box and asks us each to pick a prompt for the next free write. She wrote about Southern California when she was growing up there in the 1960's.

On Monday nights, nine friends whose ages range from thirty-two to ninety-two meet to write their stories. Mostly we write and read, but sometimes the stories take us far afield. Susan, who is reading the picture book called
Miss Rumphius to us, wrote about living in Kenya when it was an English colony.
On Wednesdays, I hike with a Portland Parks and Recreation group. This week we walked on the Klickitat River Trail in Washington. It used to be a railroad , but almost all vestiges of that are gone.
It was a perfect day for hiking: not too hot, not too cold, not too wet, and not to dry! Just right.

On Thursday, I went to court. Finally, I would hear the story behind my car's crash back in October.
I couldn't take pictures of the courtroom, but here is the outside of the Multnomah County Courthouse.
Writing and hiking! What a great week. What is the story of your car? Looks wet in Portland, as it should be! Weather all over the country and the world so variable!
ReplyDeleteBusy week! I'm glad the court story turned out well!
